We named our boat and most faithful companion after world-renowned marine biologist, explorer, and author, Sylvia Earle.

Her Johnson 40 was born in 1976; ten years after the moratorium on hunting humpback whales in the North Pacific. THE CLEANEST ENGINE any of us have ever laid eyes on, it was the only part of the boat that never let us down!
